A little three-year-old boy was given the old heave-ho in front of a Miami McDonald's this evening. They left him standing there holding his birth certificate and health records. The restaurant workers brought him in, fed him a Happy Meal, and called the cops.
Words fail me as I look at that little face.
UPDATE:
They've found the mother and arrested her for felony child neglect.
I loved this line: ''We're trying to find out exactly what is going on,'' said Moreno, ``to see if maybe the mother needs any help.''
SHE ABANDONED HER KID AT A MCDONALD'S. Of course she needs help, you moron.
Ugh.
What's even more frightening is that this is coming from the people that are supposed to be helping this poor kid.
I think that's something they say to lull the mother into coming forward. When they get her they'll slap handcuffs on her. It made me cringe when I saw they'd called the Department of Children and Families people. Those guys are real losers.
I hope God blots this horrible night from that little boy's mind.
