I did indeed go to DLI. I did Arabic-Egyptian there from 1984-85. And, you did Russian, yes?

Yes, '89-'90, lower Russian school. I saw someone mentioned your name on the linguist thread over at Brain Fertilizer. It was a happy surprise.
