UPDATE:
Those wishing to donate to the victims of terrorism in Beslan can visit this site.
They come unannounced and attack. They seek the innocent, the young, the defenseless. They take revenge on the ones that did them no harm and presented the least ability to protect themselves. Then they slink back among their people and boast of their deeds. Words cannot describe them. The merciless cowardice they display deserves no forgiveness. If anyone is entitled to a torturous death they are. I do hope the Russian's seek justice and do not blindly strike back at the Muslim community
Posted by: john at September 3, 2004 05:45 PMI just wanted to wish you well through the storm.
Posted by: Jeffery Blanco at September 3, 2004 06:35 PMI hope they don't strike back blindly either, John. I want them to strike back with great precision!
Thanks for your good wishes, Jeff.
Posted by: Donnah at September 3, 2004 07:04 PMi found a relief organization through michelle malkin's site and i just made a contribution to help the poor, innocent victims. i spoke to the head of the organization and he believes this is russia's 9/11.
i encourage all americans to show our compassion for victims of terrorist acts.
i hope that i have not breached your comment policy by writing this but i just felt this was something i had to mention.
Posted by: scott holmes at September 4, 2004 01:16 PMNot at all, Scott. Please post the link.
Posted by: Donnah at September 4, 2004 01:22 PMthank you donna but i have no idea how to post a link(admitted computer dope). the site is moscowhelp.org
when you go to the site, other than the horrific topic and photos, there is a list of contributors, something like $47,000 contributed since he started it at 4:30 friday and mostly from people of Russian descent. the man running the relief campaign is really hoping for an America response. his goal, as he told me, is to give $1000 to each family to help them through this nightmare.
thanks again for letting me mention this here. i just had to do/say something.
p.s. i tried to email you recently to tell you what i will say now-i truly enjoy your work. i am and will remain a faithful reader. the site name drew me in, the content keeps me coming back.
Thank you, Scott. I love having you here.
I'll repost your link.
thank you Donna for your kind welcome and for posting the link. i saw today that something in the range of $244,000 has been raised to date.
i don't know about you but with this tragedy and then Frances, i could use a big dose of GOOD news.
