Fixing His Wagon

A robber picked the wrong woman to tangle with:

Investigators said Felecia Moss, 34, was followed when she drove her Lexus into her gated community. When she arrived at her home, a man who was driving a blue Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera pulled up and approached Moss as she got out of her car.

Moss said the man, who had a gun, demanded money from her. But when she showed him her empty wallet, he grabbed a cellular phone from her purse.

That's when she started filling the air with lead. She even disabled his getaway car:

Moss then pulled out a 9mm Heckler and Koch semi-automatic handgun. The man scuffled with Moss, trying to get the gun. Without being able to get the gun, the man took off running.

Moss fired three shots at the man, and fearing he would return for his getaway car, she shot the tire out on the vehicle.

The robber then carjacked a lady who was defenseless.

Way to go, Felecia, for practicing good self-defense and giving a very bad guy something to think about.

Of course it would just be racist to mention the guy's ethnicity in the description!

He's 'dark skinned'. Doesn that mean he's a white guy with a good tan, a hispanic guy, or a black guy? Wouldn't it be a good idea to give details that might help people ID him?

Probably Hispanic or Arabian or Filipino or Indian or...

Most people can identify black or east-asian but anyone who's not in one of those categories just gets dumped into 'dark-skinned'. Unless you have worked around a lot of the ethnic subtypes, it's difficult to tell who is who. Around my town here, 'dark-skinned' means 'probably hispanic but who knows'.

Ohh... whites are identifiable too... but don't get called dark-skinned. If it's a white they do specify "dark tan".

I love these stories. They make me feel all warm and cuddly inside.

Love the last line- after she took away his ride, he went on to carjack a defenseless woman.

Am I too hyper-sensitive to liberal bias that I think they are trying to blame the righteous shooter for the other woman's carjacking?
Just asking.

I didn't get that impression from the newspaper article, laura. I love it that she shot out his tires, on top of everything else. He must have dropped a load in his diapers when she whipped out that gun.
I love these stories too, H.D. It's like for a second all is right in the universe.

Mm. Sounds like someone needs to spend more time at the range.
