New England will never be the same. I thought loud-mouth Yankees fans were the most annoying creatures on earth, what with that accent and all. But Bostonites are definitely much, much worse.

I go home on leave next week. I cannot wait to be around people who speak correctly, and don't talk about "the sox".

I was raised up to be a Yankee fan. My dad and his brothers were absolutely obsessed with their fellow Okie, Mickey Mantle, when they were growing up.
