Absentee Ballots

One of the Broward Commisioners says she's tired of Broward being the laughingstock of the nation because of our utter cluelessness about how to run an election.
Those of us who requested absentee ballots, but have not received them, will not be allowed to vote on Election Day.
I'm wearing my clothes out from the inside from all my laughing.

Not really. I want my ballot.

Our only option is to go to one of the early voting centers and stand in line for hours. There's some out-of-town people who look to be SOL.

What? My husband didn't get his absentee ballot, so he can't vote on November 2nd...? I mailed mine in, but now I'm jumpy because who the heck knows if it GOT THERE!?!

What tha...??

Why Broward county? Why? Why????

Nope, if you requested an absentee ballot but have not received it, you cannot vote on Election Day without turning in the absentee ballot to an election official. Only you didn't get the damn thing, so you can't turn it in.
If you get it now, you won't have time to mail it. Hand carry it.

Early voting is the only path left open.

I'm flying home to vote. I don't want to take any chances. In my county, Democrats out-number Republicans 5-1. Though, they are Donnah-Democrats, and our county turns up red on those "Bush Country" t-shirts. But there's some shady Democrats out there, and I'll be damned if they screw me over.
