Here's Duane with some of the band.
The good-looking guy front and center wasn't in the band, although he joined them onstage many times.
Little brother Gregg looks particularly retarded in this photo.
Wail on, Skydog!
Who IS that? My first thought was "Who's the fox next to Duane?" even before I read your blurb.

Duane had asked him to join the band, but he said that was too much like a real job. ;)
A little off-topic, but the last Duane-J.Geils picture was so long ago I decided it might be appropriate to post this here.
Indeed, Duane Allman often cited The J. Geils Band as being one of his very favorites. Unfortunately, it is also true that by the time of
the previously mentioned "Hits" (Centerfold, Freezeframe, etc.), they had sunk into commercialism. However, go back and listen to the likes of "Morning After", "Full House" and "Bloodshot", and it will all make
sense to you.
Finally, where can I get a good copy of that "Duane Allman 1946-1971" photo posted on the site???
Give me a date, Duke. There's almost a year's worth of weekly Duane pics on here.
Even so, I might not be able to remember where I took it from.
Yes, Duane was a major fan of J Geils. All I have of them is the two pics. I've hunted all over for more of them together, but to no avail, so far.
