I'm giving through Save the Children, which has a four-star charity rating, and the Southern Baptist Mission Board.
Those of you wishing to donate can find a more complete list at the Command Post, and Tim Blair has a good list of links, as well.
Say a prayer for them too, please.
It's odd that all the relief agencies are sending clothing, as Teresa Kerry was very clear that disaster victims should go naked for a while.
That nitwit could have been our First Lady.
Posted by floridacracker at December 27, 2004 11:38 PMPlease discourage everyone from donating to ANY UN Fund. You can never be sure that aid will reach the intended victims. Like in Sudan, UN workers eat the food sleep in the tents and rape the victims. I have read that this is very common in third world countries, and widespread in all UN programs. Or the Admin costs eat 50% of the budget, must pay Kofi and his relatives at Turtle Bay (UN HQ)you know.

There are plenty of really good charities to give to for this particular disaster. No need to give to any that have a history of the heads of their organizations supporting sons or mistresses with company funds.
