Kid Rock

I can't see the objection to including Kid Rock in the inaugural festivities. As far as I know, he's a Country singer. The only times I ever hear him are on Country radio, and the only television channel I see him on is CMT. If you'd object to Kid, you'd definitely not want Bocephus in there. Would you object to Bocephus? This is how it is with our culture. God, country and family are first, but there's plenty of room left over for rowdiness.
He's decided to sit at our table, and he's fit in quite well. After all, whose posters does Gretchen Wilson sing about having on her wall in the song "Redneck Woman"?

Skynyrd, Kid, and Straight.

Even Charlie Daniels has a past, guys, and Hank Williams, Sr. would have put the bad boys of any music genre to shame.

And to think a dude that has bitten the head off bats can go to a Press gig, where the President (Bush) is speaking, but Kid Rock is not welcome to play. Go figure!

To some conservatives, if you sing patriotic songs, you've clearly never had your pecker out of your pants or gotten drunk and beaten up a roadie for no good reason; conversely, if your songs contain profanity and rhyme gratuitously, you're a filthy disease that the Holy Ghost himself really should swoop down and eradicate.

Well, with Country, if you show that you have the same core beliefs as the listeners, a whole lot of stuff can be overlooked. Kid Rock fits in with us.

That's where the DC's screwed up. Inwardly, they weren't anything like the people who'd been their audience.

It just plain silliness. Kid Rock has supported our troops and our President. He has toured with the USO. People need to just SHUT UP! They most likely do not even know who Kid Rock is.
