Sovereign Nation

I don't post on illegal immigration because it's the one topic sure to make me blow a gasket. Don't tell me they do jobs Americans won't do; I know Americans who've lost their jobs to them.
Suffice it to say, I'm glad citizens groups like the MinuteMan Project will be patrolling the border since the Federal Government isn't doing the job adequately. I've no doubt President Bush's "guest worker" plan is going to deservedly crash and burn.

There aren't a lot of items I disagree with the President on. His 'guest amnesty' plan, however, tops the list.

For me, as well.

I totally agree on this one. In North Carolina, we have quite an influx of "undocumented immigrants", and it's time someone took up the effort to do something about it...and I don't mean by giving them a free pass.

Have a great day.

Just yesterday was that real/imagined story of the Mexican who helped smuggle Chinese across the border (destined for Boston, so the story went).

There was a time that an Asian sneaking across the Mexican border would raise an eyebrow, but not anymore.

There was a time when any alien sneaking across the Mexican border would be called 'illegal'; now they're simply 'undocumented'.

==sigh==
