Everybody Wants To Rule The World

The global warming nutters are at it again- right before the Kyoto Protocol takes legal effect on signatories.
It's very interesting how junk science has emerged as a political tool. Ideologists gather false, misleading, or unverified data, hold a press conference, and they're off to the races. In the end, it's all about power and money.

What makes the global warming advocates so laughable is that the first Earth Day, 34 years ago, was predicting the coming Ice Age.

Warming? -- I have upwards of 4 feet of snow in my yard and driveway.

Why don't these people work on a helpful project, like snowblowers for the needy?

How do you know that Global Warming is junk science? The cause may be in doubt, but it's happening.

I'm old enough to remember when global cooling was the big thing.

My husband was a chemist at UF for many years. He was working on this big experiment to determine if there is a genetic predisposition to kidney stones. That thing went on for almost two years. Every time I'd go into the lab, he'd be looking at a dripping column. So finally, it was all done. He went to a conference in Canada and presented the findings: JACK.
Inconclusive.

I told him it was a bummer they didn't find anything. He said the point in Science isn't to find something, but to add to general body of scientific knowledge by the use of an accurate, well-designed experiment.

What's going on with the global warming thing is not Science. It's ideology-driven people trying to get their way, any way they can.

They can't predict the weather accurately three days out, but they've got it nailed down 100,000 years from now. Right.
