Suspicious Minds

Crime Library has a detailed write up on the BTK killer. I think it's very interesting it was the killer's daughter who put things together. I remember how David Kaczynski read the Unabomber's manifesto and had to admit to himself that it was written by his brother.
Thank goodness for the rest of the public that these people didn't mull over the ethical dilemna too long and came forward.

UPDATE:
In fairness to the Wichita police, who are receiving a lot of criticism for it taking decades to catch this guy- if they hadn't faithfully preserved crime scene evidence for all these years, even things for which the technology didn't exist to do anything with, they wouldn't have been able to match the killer's DNA now to those long-ago crimes.
His wife has been arrested as well, it's being said. Don't know what that means.

If I remember correctly, and it's been awhile so I may be wrong, I think there's a guy in LA who did some investigatory work and concluded to his horror that the Black Dahlia killer may have been his own father (and he's not a nut. His father was connected to the case and he makes an interesting argument about it).

Chilling. But fascinating drama. As I get older I find it far more interesting to read and emphathize with people who have to go through these terrible moral/emotional conflicts, than watching another movie about some kid who can't ask the Prom Queen out on a date because he has too many pimples, so he and his friend smoke joints and try to pick up hookers instead.

The Black Dahlia thing would have been a recent book, because it was an interview I'd heard on a local public radio station.

I'm glad they caught the Burger King (BK) Killer. He's had it his way for far too long. ; )
