Has it been 35 years already? Don't you miss the days when a fat, really smelly hippie could be a national celebrity?

Oh those days.... I didn't realize they were over. Was I dreaming? Having a nightmare?
Because I would almost swear that one of the candidate's in last year's presidential election was one of those shaggy-headed anti-war protesters that seemed to show a much deeper affection for the principles of the Vietcong than the US Constitution, and that one of his major supporters was a fat shaggy hippy who traveled around the US donating copies of his boxers to encourage the younger generation to go out and vote for the shaggy-headed ex-Vietcong guy.
Some nightmare, huh? The worst of it was that the fat hippy made millions and the ex-Vietcong guy kept millions from the campaign donations.
