It would be a lot easier to "bring blessing" to tsunami-ravaged Indonesia if the government there would stop acting like highwaymen. Charging 40% duty on aid containers at the port is governmental thuggery.

We had to grease the bastards for the last load of airfreight we sent up there- Garuda charged minimal rate (the three 100 cubic metre loads we sent through Thai were at no cost), but the assholes at the other end wanted money to release school supplies that a woman in Brisbane had gone around and collected, all up forty boxes of paper, pencils, all the usual shit- we had to send US$100 to our agent to bribe the local yahoos in Bandah Acheh. I hate Indonesians.

I was reading today about how we'd poured a trillion dollars into Africa, and gotten very little return on our money because of their corrupt governments.
