Well, what do you know? Albert Scardino, my favorite newspaper editor in the whole world, has resigned from The Guardian over Sassygate.

Don't feel bad, Al. Publishing a call for the President's assassination and then hiring a member of a terrorist organization and publishing his opinions on the London bombings are mistakes anybody could make.
You could always come back to the States and run for dogcatcher. You'd probably lose, like what happens whenever anyone in your family runs for office -- but it's a goal. And you need goals right now.

Will you be my lifecoach?

I see your fan is leaving comments over at "Journalists for DeFede."
Posted by: Donnah at July 29, 2005 12:08 PMAl Scardino is not THE editor of the Guardian, he is AN editor at the Guardian. Just for the record.
Posted by: tk at July 29, 2005 01:29 PMFor the record, his position is...er, was... EXECUTIVE editor for the Home and Foreign Departments. :) Don't be talking my man down.
Deep breath, Al, deep breath.
Posted by: Donnah at July 29, 2005 01:41 PMAxed Editor Albert actually claimed the Leader of the Free World a “tool” just before inspiring out loud for his murder!
Just deserts for Al now, as the bigger tool? Maybe, maybe not.
Turns out ole Albert was the TOOL, used by the El Guardinista’s Al Sassy (also now axed) to front for the Islamofascist Muslim Brotherhood movement’s call for Brit self blaming as a response to mass murder attacks in Londonstan by now identified emissaries from same. Right then?
Was Al just disabusing his public that El Guardinista was too Brit, pale, & male by hiring and publishing a Muslim terrorism apologist and sympathizer, Al Sassy?
Maybe not, as some wag has now posted that El Guardinista had Sassy on board (they actually were aware of Al Sassy’s ties to Britain’s most fanatical Muslim group) as its conduit to the Brit Islamofascist movement – better to cover/print their “point of view”. Nothing like a balanced view, right?
It’s well time to dust off Woodrow Wilson’s WWI American Treason and Sedition law and ram it down their throats! Right - bust’em, cuff’em, stuff’em, try’em, convict’em, jail’em or deport’em.
Or, would the “protectors of the public good” Brit/US MSM apologist prefer that we wait for further acts of mass murder of the innocents from the Islamofascist Muslim Brotherhood - and more cover from their sympathy inspired publishing cohorts in the media.
The first rule of war – know your enemy! Second – protect the public! Third – attack your enemy, on all fronts! Forth – win & end the war!
Islam, reform yourselves – or be reformed. They have put the ball in our court. It’s our turn to serve!
Moot point on the twin tools. As Thwackman proclaimed in his fini of Barry Lyndon – “they are all (both) equal now”, the tool and the user of the tool, as in, now banished form publishing further their hateful, murder inspiring rubbish under the name and claim of a “free Western press”.
One more small victory against the “believers in Peace” Terrorists of Islam, by a Expat US blogger/patriot in the UK, no less! Rant on Burgess.
Another happy ending!
Scott rocks, for sure.
