There's a vintage MINT, MINT, MINT Fender Strat for sale.
Did I say VINTAGE?? Did I say MINT? Just want to be sure.
Hey I looked at this guitar it is not a fender nor is it vintage, this will be the hoax of the century if this guy sells this.If you look at the tuning key photo it clearly reads "made in Taiwan" below the tuners. What a joke !!!!!
Posted by: Lyv Wire at December 8, 2005 12:04 PMA little diggging in the 'other' links showed he also had another sale going... When I looked this is what popped at the top of the page:
"It's a joke...
In case you haven't noticed, the page you were viewing is not for real.
It started out as a parody of an eBay guitar ad, but quickly took on a life of its own. Most of the links do not work, but a few of them do..."

"fleece we dumb hicks." ROTFL
Yeah, you got that hick lingo down, Professor.
Thank heavens that GMAC hipped me to the fact that this was a prank.
I had just finished inking the oo's on a check for $16K.
Stopped me just in time. Thanks buddy.
Posted by: bostonirish at December 8, 2005 10:46 PMDue to the Duane Allman content, I'm fortunate to have quite a few gearheads around here.
So. What *is* that shiny thing on the back of the guitar?
Posted by: Donnah at December 8, 2005 10:52 PMIt's the neck bracket- bolts through the body and secures the neck to the body, and the finest Taiwanese mild steel it looks to be.
Posted by: PB at December 9, 2005 01:41 AMI was looking at the various types of construction, trying to figure it out. Thanks, Paul.
Posted by: Donnah at December 9, 2005 01:48 AMI would guess that the Yamaha emblem on the back of the tuning keys would give it away. Did Leo even make Strats back in 50, thought the Telly was first.
