Earlier I wrote how some mice had moved into our garage. My husband Dr. Schweitzer has recently finished his catch-and-release program, and they're all currently residing behind the local Blockbuster and Dominos Pizza, watching vids and having a slice.
But I know that in their hearts they miss the beautiful ranch that they had put so much time and effort into remodeling.
When we first identified that they had taken up residence in the ranch (property that has been in the Cracker family for generations), we brought it outside and let Shiloh drive the mice over toward more suitable accomodations with the neighbors. Feeling the ranch needed a bit of airing, we left it out that night. By the next day they had moved right back in.
Yes, they'll always long for their home on the range.
