Hopefully these miners in West Virginia survived the explosion and will be got to soon. I was so convinced the Quecreek miners were goners, but up they came.
UPDATE:
This is what passes for hip and clever nowadays. The men who are trapped are West Virginia coalminers; it's not like doing a dangerous job and now being in deadly peril makes them rate. Why, I bet not a one of them even knows how to Photoshop! Work on your skillz, hillbillies.
After drilling holes and venting out the gasses from the explosion, a rescue crew has finally entered the mine.
UPDATE II:
They've interviewed some of the Quecreek miners, and they're hoping, but not thinking, that this is going to turn out very well. Only one of the nine ever went back into a mine again.
The air quality tests run so far have returned with bad results, but the hope is they've found an area with fresh air and barricaded themselves in.
