It's All Fun And Games Until Somebody Gets Impaled

A sad but lucky-to-be-alive doggy, after a game of fetch went awry:

If her face were any more plaintive, Sally Struthers would use her for a commercial.

A little less lucky and Sally might be snacking on Tika on a stick! I have a two year old yellow Lab and I can tell you from watching her that Tika's biggest concern after being impaled was probably to get that stick back into play. I'm glad she is on the mend.

So what Tika is actually saying here is, "I want my stiiiiiiick"?

I confess I am not a trained dog whisperer but I interpret Tika's expression as "Why don't you wear this thing and go outside and practice throwing strikes, Catfish."

They should put one of those things on Howard Dean..

Dadgummit Donnah, I had a sheperd in Bradenton that loved to jump in Wares creek..a tributary of the Manatee river, after whatever we threw in it..it was a blast..he would SAIL literally..an awesome trick for Captain (von something or other), bless his heart. Until one day, a six foot gator lollygagged
down the way..Captain just couldnt believe that stick bit him back !!! a bunch..

He survived, we got hand-slapped for shooting the damn thing (i unloaded a 9shot Ruger .22 into THAT lizard)..but Captain wasn't too excited about
'fetch' after that. Plus, he kinda went 'Slingblade' on the neighborhood after that, too.

so where is PETA and those guys in all this..

Actually, Tika's saying, "What? I caught it, didn't I?"

"They should put one of those things on Howard Dean.."

Ha.

Scarily enough, I can form a mental image of Sally Struthers snacking on Tika-on-a-stick. Thanks, tfhr.
