Don't Be So Gullible, McReuters

Either Reuter's left out some punctuation in this Buddha-boy story, or they're reporting a scientific marvel:

Fifteen-year-old Ram Bahadur Bamjon has not been seen since early Saturday, said Hari Krishna Khatiwada, a district official of Bara, 150 km (95 miles) southeast of Kathmandu.

The boy had been meditating there without food or water since May. Some of his followers are also missing.

Maybe they used up all their scare quotes on other stories.

What? You don't think humans can go that long with food and water?

sounds like a Gram Parsons story to me...

This kid puts the "miracle" in Miracle Whip®. Reuters, however, puts the "ass" in mass media. The recent fraud Reuters perpetrated with it's "Retire Cheney" photo puts them is the same class as our own sorry MSM.

Of course it's not possible. Why is this written as a fact?
How does this connect to Gram, Owen?

The "Retire Cheney" photo was the latest in a long line of editorializing by a supposedly unbiased media.

his 'missing followers' went looking for their own
special 'Joshua Tree'..I heard about this kid a while back..I just figure he croaked, and they ditched the body (before the autopsy showed vestiges
of goat in his alimentary canal..*you asked*)

If he’s the real thing, then I believe he can fast for that long. If he isn’t the real thing, then, well, ‘I can’t believe it’s not Buddha!’

PS.: I love your headline. ‘OK, Biff, bye bye.’

I still don't get it, Owen.

LOL@Jack-n-the Buddha.
I'm all about good post titles.

I guess the scenarios seem similar, but maybe I am missing something, or have it realy mixed up...

Gram's manager was it..hauled ass out to Joshua tree
and cremated him, somehow 'keeping him away' from the 'wolves' That whole thing seems to have a legendary appeal...

I just figure the kid dies, and rather than the
folks who might want to take a look at the body
getting a hold of him, his 'follower/caretaker(s)
have made off with their hero..
I can believe he might have gone without nourishment for a while..but eventually somebody, or all of them were/are perpetrating a hoax.

That culture has always placed a high value on
the 'colors of the Chakra', Metaphysics, etc.
and of course, beds of nails, walking on hot coals, meditating without food...

Im not saying GRam was into that, just that both of them died, and somebody else did something
with them afterward...*wish I woulda kept my mouth shut...*
