A conservative column at the online edition of the Washington Post? All those precious pixels wasted in the name of diversity of opinion.
Don't worry, it'll never contaminate the print edition.

Posted by floridacracker at March 21, 2006 02:27 PMAs a "real" southerner, I was really glad to see this new blog as well. IMHO, WaPO sees the NYT on its knees and is going for the jugular: to be the new "newspaper of record". I wouldn't call them fair and balanced exactly, yet, but someone there seems to be groping his her way in that direction. At least every now and then.
Also, is it just me, or has Wolf Blitzer been trying to reach out as well?
Posted by: carl in Atlanta at March 21, 2006 06:19 PMI haven't seen Wolf. I've watched only Law and Order marathons for about a decade now. ;)
The New York Times: the paper of limited evidentiary value. I don't blame the WAPO for rushing in to fill the vaccuum. If they're trying to not make the same mistakes, good for them. However, one little bone thrown to the the conservatives isn't going to make me do a victory dance.
