Teacher Paul Dawson got too hip for his own good and said, "Sit down, nigga" to a student. The news clip detailing his crime is one of the funniest thing I've ever seen. Its unintentional hilarity on so many levels is a delight to watch. Dawson's Gene Wilder impersonation (with visual aids) is especially enjoyable.

Posted by: Bill from INDC at April 14, 2006 07:14 PMIt made me giddy with delight. The grave warnings that shocking news was coming and grown men and women intoning "the n-word" was merely the first act in the comedy. Dawson channeling Wilder channeling Pryor was the piece de resistance. The fact that this made it onto the local news is the comedic sub-text. It couldn't be funnier if it were parody.

'That's the problem,' Mr. Brashear said. 'If a kid thinks it's a term of endearment, but an Anglo calls him that and he's ready to fight, we've got a problem.'"
Can't have it both ways. You notice the kid wants the teacher fired for offending him with hip-hop slang.
