John Lennon Speaks From The Great Beyond

I'm on pins and needles here:

A controversial television seance airing on Monday will claim it has reached the spirit of John Lennon, but viewers will have to pay $9.95 to find out what the peace-loving Beatle has to say.

So what do you think he said? I hope he made a big pronouncement that the Sixties are over at last. Maybe he also added an apology to the world for all the infantile music he released after leaving the Beatles, and for letting Yoko Ono get anywhere near a microphone.

One can only hope.

I wonder if he still thinks he's more popular than Jesus?

He might believe in death now too.

Lennon's claim to be more popular than Jesus is not so outrageous; he may have been right (the fact that that may be seen as a sad commentary on society has no effect on the accuracy of it).

What I found troubling about him wasn't that he thought he was more popular, but that he also seemed to think he was more significant, and more profound.

He was a shallow and egocentric celebrity. Without the tension of co-writing with someone who was his tempermental opposite, his musical output turned to utter tripe.

ouch! don't hold back, Donnah! what do you really think about this nihilist with abandonment issues? all you need is LOVE!!!

I think inflicting upon us the song "Mother" alone should earn him at least 15 minutes in the flames of Hell. ;)

I'm so glad I came in here this morning and I am equally glad that I had just swallowed that mouthful of morning tea otherwise I would be cleaning my screen right now. :)

you know, "mother" is one of his better ones in the post beatles era. how about "woman is the N-word of the world?"

poor ringo to play on that first post beatle album. lol

here's how i knew it was all a charade: he did that album "rock and roll" and let phil spector produce it, i think(too lazy to google now) and it BLEW CHUNKS!

at least rock and roll with the verve you once had, entropy notwithstanding! ;)

Clearly I disagree with your opinion of "Mother." I have a low tolerance level for grown men's inner child. I think they should beat its ass and send it to bed without its supper.
