Trains, Planes, And Automobiles

The ACLU's going to be on anything smoking:

“In God We Trust” will be the official motto of Florida if Gov. Jeb Bush signs a bill passed unanimously Thursday by the Senate.

The measure (HB 1145) had earlier passed the House.

“In God We Trust” has been considered an unofficial, or customary motto of the state for years, but isn’t in statute.

You can't provoke the modern-day grand inquisitors and not expect a secular auto-da-fe.

Unless you've got better lawyers.

Well, I'm wholly against it, but it ain't federally Unconstitutional, as it's a state initiative.

What's a matter with the old motto?

"All the nuts roll down to Florida."

Descriptive, folksy. Leave well enough alone, Jeb.

Good legislative session so far this year. I also liked the pro-gun bills passed.

quite apropos, I believe. When is the last time
somebody was concerned....

I like it also. It's of the same order of humor as listening to carpetbaggers complain about the
traffic.

"Better lawyers"??? Is that an oxymoron?

What's the difference between a flounder and lawyer?

One's a scum-sucking bottom-dweller--the other's a fish.

Except for commenter Carl in Atlanta, you mean.
