Archeologists have uncovered a new Roman road in France, and will be excavating it over the next couple of months.
On the first stretch of road, they've found a cluster of chiseled-stone signs which read in Latin "If over a/Celtic doorway/Your head must rest/Just make sure/It looks its best/Roma-Shave." Archeologists are at odds over the meaning of the signs, with some saying it was an advertising ploy targeting Roman legionnaires, and others calling it an example of Celtic propaganda.
Now, how many of these young-uns do you think will 'get' the Roma-shave thing? I sure did, and what great, GREAT Florida memories it brought back. My dad would load us up in the wagon and we would head south for two full weeks, mainly on the Gulf side south of Tampa 'cause the fishing was so good down there. No motel reservations either-- didn't need 'em in those days. Ah, that was the life! If I tried to take two straight weeks off now I'd be out of business, in contempt of court and 2/3 broke when I returned to my burned-out house.
Too bad those classic "Roma-Shave" signs weren't chiseled out of stone...

I was still seeing the signs in the 80's when we were driving back and forth from college. I don't think they've put up any new ones since the 60's though.
