Lots of fabulous things are popping up on YouTube.
This is an awesome video for the Flying Burrito Brothers' "Sin City," featuring footage of the photo shoot for the cover of The Gilded Palace of Sin:
And a very silly one for "Older Guys," but Gram's stylin' like you knew he would be:

Posted by: Donnah at May 27, 2006 11:19 AMso is gram another tale of talent gone to waste because of his excessive tastes for booze and drugs and thinking that you're bulletproof when you're a kid in your twenties?
cause if he is, he's lucky. some of us don't die.
Posted by: richard at May 28, 2006 10:08 AMIt's not lucky to be dead.
"[Chris]Hillman recalled the root of Parsons', and the band's, problem: "He was getting into a lot of drugs and -- well, you know the story.... He just went headlong in the direction of physical abuse and it was an area where I just couldn't help him at all. There was nothing that any of us could do. I think his major failing, as far as being a member of the group was concerned, was that he lacked the sense of professionalism, discipline, reliability and responsibility which you must have if you work with others."
Posted by: Donnah at May 28, 2006 10:55 AMNever woulda thought to look for FBB videos on youtube. Didn't think any existed. Whatever happened to Bernie Leadon? I remember an album shortly after he got booted out of the Eagles in the '70s but don't think I heard anything else.
Posted by: hamous at May 31, 2006 12:05 AMHe didn't get booted, he quit.
He seems to have kept busy.

I saw Bernie in Gainesville at the Great Southern Music Hall (I think) back around '77. He described his departure from the Eagles like this: "When, after the concerts, the rest of the band hopped in the limo without me I took that as a hint."
I see he put a solo album out a couple years ago. Have to check it out.
Posted by: Hamous at May 31, 2006 11:18 AMHe's an interesting guy. He's certainly played with some prominent musicians.
