"The pain, the PAIN!" , he said in a Dr. Smith from Lost in Space voice. (As a soldier in the cover band wars, it was immensely painful to have stopped playing proud mary six times a night in the 70's, which was ok the first 1,000 times and find myself playing "this" stuff in the 80's. still, there's no accounting for taste, as fans of brian hyland and andy kim know too well)

OK, Ritchie, you've already let me know you don't like the lists. They are a lot of work, but I'm going to keep doing them because *I* like it. Like Gmac said, these are memories. In my case, the memories of a college girl.
There's something for everyone there.

I was shocked once when my brother stayed in the car once to finish listening to Spandau freaking Ballet. I never would have figured it, but the shitkicker loved the New Romantic sound.

"Should have been go-oone!!"
Wow. Videos in 1984 must have forced the powers that be to recalibrate the 'Unintentionally Humorous' scale. Thanks for the flashback, Miss Donnah.
