A Man Of Just The Right Words

mccloy.jpg

Lone Sago mine survivor Randal McCloy, recently in Washington for the President's signing of new mining legislation, continues to show why he's got all the right stuff:

Though a man of few words, McCloy often speaks in a thoughtful, eloquent manner, [spokeswoman Aly Goodwin] Gregg said.

Once, someone asked if he thought his wife looked beautiful.

Gregg recalled him saying, "Actually, she looks quite stunning."

Even with brain damage he knows how it's done. No excuses for the rest of you lot.

ahh, I think your comment dealy is working, yes ?

my question is how she(or as you implied, any female) might answer the same question... about ol Randy ?..

something like..

"Oh, I think he is striking!"

Randy and Anna seem like really nice people to me.

Thanks for posting about them.

He was very fortunate in his choice of partner's. Stayed right with the whole time and did whatever she could to help him get better. I saw a newscast where when he was still in a coma and getting the hyperbaric treatment that she'd gone and gotten him his brands of soap, shampoo, and deodorant "so he would smell like himself." She thought it might help. She's a peach.

Guys aren't terribly sensitive about their looks - most of them think they're Adonis- so the question doesn't really transfer.
