Aloha!

We had a better class of people keep their missiles trained on us for decades. It would take a putz like Kim to launch one at us and have it be a dud:

A North Korean missile launched on Wednesday was aimed at an area of the ocean close to Hawaii, a Japanese newspaper reported on Friday.

Experts estimated the Taepodong-2 ballistic missile to have a range of up to 6,000 km, putting Alaska within its reach. Wednesday's launch apparently failed shortly after take-off and the missile landed in the sea between the Korean peninsula and Japan, a few hundred kilometres from the launch pad.

But data from U.S. and Japanese Aegis radar-equipped destroyers and surveillance aircraft on the missile's angle of take-off and altitude indicated that it was heading for waters near Hawaii, the Sankei Shimbun reported, citing multiple sources in the United States and Japan.

North Korea may have targeted Hawaii to show the United States that it was capable of landing a missile there, or because it is home to the headquarters of the U.S. Pacific fleet, the paper said.

It's just like the old days, only more pathetic.

I shot off a bottle rocket (or two) this past weekend, one of them acted like Kim's...instead of flying high then bursting and cracking-sending squeals of glee into my neighbors kids mouths, it took an outside curve and nailed a pine tree. The tree was on my other neighbors lot, about 20 yards
from his wife's fishing spot.

It made me think, if N.Korea is having fun, that's great. I hope for their sake they can keep their toys off of us. My neighbor would have shot at me if that bottle rocket had nailed his wife, and I doubt he would have missed.

Madeleine Albright said we shouldn't pick on North Korea for not being able to get it up and keep it up because that will make them mad. I bet it just breaks her heart to think of Kim singing "I'm So Ronery"

Morning drive-time radio where I am (KFI 640, mouthiest talk radio in Greater Los Angeles) always prefaces newsflashes about North Korea with "I'm So Ronery". They used to also use the "KIM! JONG! IL!" fanfare from Team America, but I haven't heard that one in a couple weeks.

The North Koreans have interesting names for their miss-iles, don't they? I wrote a little blog about it.

BTW, nice site. The female population of the South (esp. single females) definitely needs more representing. :)

I'm the only Southern female anyone needs.
