Freckle-Faced Terrorist Wannabe

Betty Williams, the Irish Nobel Peace Prize winner with all the class of pond scum:

NOBEL peace laureate Betty Williams displayed a flash of her feisty Irish spirit yesterday, lashing out at US President George W.Bush during a speech to hundreds of schoolchildren.

Campaigning on the rights of young people at the Earth Dialogues forum, being held in Brisbane, Ms Williams spoke passionately about the deaths of innocent children during wartime, particularly in the Middle East, and lambasted Mr Bush.

"I have a very hard time with this word 'non-violence', because I don't believe that I am non-violent," said Ms Williams, 64.

"Right now, I would love to kill George Bush." Her young audience at the Brisbane City Hall clapped and cheered.

Assassination is "feisty." Maybe the reporter would like to be a stand-in so Betty could brush up on her feistiness. Betty'd go for it: she doesn't care what she does around kids.

I wonder what the Secret Service thinks about those remarks?

Better yet, I'd just hand Laura Bush one of Dick Cheney's shotguns and tell her it's open season on moonbats.

This explains Betty a little better:

"In 1992 she was appointed to the Texas Commission for Children and Youth by then Texas Governor, Ann Richards." - Wikipedia

I can only imagine that she'll be making close friends with Cindy Sheehan now, if they haven't already moved in together.

tfhr,

From the comments to a post at Tim Blair's blog:

Brilliant! I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Thanks Retread - I'm printing wallet-sized copies right now. I'm going to go with an 8x10 for the one with Mrs. Partridge.

Tim Blair's comments also had a mention of the possibility that Williams lives in Florida. (I bet she left some chads hanging)

If she is residing in the U.S., we may want to consider what may come of her death threat against the President.

"Nobel Peace Prize Winner" -- did you really expect anything different?

What the heck would this woman be doing in Texas or Florida? I'd assumed she was doing most of her compassionating in Ireland.

Euuueeeewwwwww.... In her pic with Sheehan, Sheehan looks like one of my friends.... but he's not quite that ... rugged... yeah, thats the word I was looking for... rugged.

And ya, I'm betting she'll have a bit more difficulty re-entering through customs. If customs can harass Rush L for having a scrip issue surely they'll be polite enough to inquire about her rationality in making a death threat to a sitting president.

I looked up the Nobel page earlier and found the list of all peace prize recipients. I thought I remembered two Irish women sharing the prize one year back in the 70s for their campaign to end the violence in Northern Ireland. Sure enough Betty is one of them and she's made a career of such advocacy since, with the predictable result of moving ever farther from the original, admirable goal of peace in NI to the moonbattery of telling schoolkids she wants to kill President Bush.

Even if the Secret Service doesn't pay her a visit I expect there to be an uproar from the parents of those schoolkids. I realize I'm stating the obvious but one doesn't make such a speech to kids, it was aimed at a much wider audience which means she used the kids to get media attention, which makes her Sheehan's sister under the skin.
