This is just a fan pic he posed for at the studio. He was right on the edge of major fame, major everything.

I feel it is my duty to bring this up since in the posting immediately following this one mentions all the recent imfamous photo-doctoring. It has come to my attention that this alleged photo of Duane Allman has actually been altered and is not of Mr. Allman at all. Actually it is a photo of Pat Boone that has been photoshopped to appear to be Duane Allman. This has recently been uncovered in the archives of such publications as Rolling Stone and Billboard. An ongoing investigation has revealed doctored photos such as Wayne Newton being photoshopped to appear to be Frank Zappa and Vic Damone being photoshopped to appear to be Jerry Garcia. Today a series of photos of what appeared to be Janis Joplin were in actuality photoshopped pictures of Sammy Davis, Jr.

Okay, okay...just kidding.

It does make for a funny juxtaposition, however, don't it?
