A lunatic gunmen is on the loose in New York, shooting people at random in full view of witnesses. What does he look like? Evidently, he's a man:
The shooter was described as a man in a green late-model Cadillac or Toyota Camry with front end damage.
UPDATE:
Matthew Colletta takes "seeing red" to a new level.
In other will o' the wisp news:
According to CBS in New York, there's a violent rapist at large in Queens who poses as a police officer. He has freckles.

NBC narrows it down a bit.
Posted by floridacracker at August 26, 2006 12:44 PMMaybe he was driving one Camry and pulling another.
Posted by: Donnah at August 26, 2006 06:43 PMWell, I think they bagged the shooter who was on a 'drug and alcohol' fueled binge.
I'm so glad NBC was able to narrow down the list of potential perps...
Next they'll be telling us he has dark hair.
Somehow I'm thinking their usefulness as a news source is like looking for it to snow in FL.
Ya, it 'could' happen (I have pictures) but the odds are really long.
If there's some madman on the loose, and the police have a description, for the safety of the public we should be told what it is. Saying it's a man just isn't adequate.
Lots of people go on booze and coke binges. Most don't go on shooting rampages. This sounds like a defense to me. Like Joseph Smith blaming the heroin he'd taken that day for his killing of Carlie Brucia, when he'd been a junkie for decades.
Of all the laws that haven't been passed, why isn't there a push to eliminate political correctness from
descriptions of fleeing/un-captured felons ?
I am saying, picture yourself in the back of a van (color and make withheld intentionally) bound and gagged, on your way to your murder/rape/beheading/etc... all the while listening to the radio describing eye-witness reports of your captor... "A person, probably with a substance abuse problem, has probably kidnapped someone, according to eye-witnesses."
"The suspect has a shape, and is wearing some sort of clothing, possibly driving an American made sedan. "
