Remembering Katrina

I distinctly remember a weekly event in the amiable
weather months in Jax... it probably still occurs
to some extent.

The only way to access the North Jetty beaches, which
just happened to be on the north/westside of town is (was) by 4WD vehicles.. It was quite a grand happening, since two of the largest 4WD clubs in America are The Bold City group (my alma mater) and The Old City group (St. Augustine)

Probably the most memorable part was high tide...

I've seen a lot of people look like this guy out there...but they do it on purpose.

cooincidentally, that's the same position assumed by Prieto this week, weak storm or no.

And here's Val surfing before the storm:

Is that a tattoo of Hillary Clinton on his chest?

Kind of looks like her, doesn't it? I believe that's Castro, though.

I thought it was a tatto of a levy, with GWB bearing down on it.. I must need glasses. That does look
like a FSU ticket stub over by the toilet paper..

I think Bill's referring to the tattoo of the guy at the link I gave.
I can't make out what the tattos of our Katrina victim here are.
He's got his beer and he's got his toilet paper. Life is good.

Poor Alec Baldwin! I didn't realize how bad things had gotten for him.
