Loose Screws

If you'd like to watch the debate between the "Loose Change" folks and the Popular Mechanics guys, it's here.
I tuned out after ten minutes when the LC researcher called the PM guys liars. A presentation of facts will never change a fanatic's mind.

40+ minutes is a bit of a chunk to watch at work, but I checked in long enough to notice that everyone was cast to stereotype heaven: 1) Hostess in that activist frazzled, greying-is-natural centerpart hair. 2) Smug, earnest young turks in their non-corporate clothes who both had a look that said they at one time have asked themselves, "Could I pull off a beret?" 3) Ill-fitting suit wearing editor types and interview suit wearing wonky practical science writer.

I loved the PM guys, but then again I married a guy with a pocket protector and a lab coat.

Donnah..I am going to watch the rest, sometime. I
am more interested in the last note about Mr. Cracker. The other day, you mentioned ransome insurance, then something about him traveling to the Eastern bloc.. NOW pocket protectors !

I give. What does your husband do ? If I may ask.

I mentioned in the comments at HotAir that it looked like the worst Mac vs. PC ad ever.

Most people root for the underdog/mild-mannered schmoe.

Owen, he's a physicist by training, but he was a research chemist at Shands for a long time. Now he helps establish internet telephony in underdeveloped countries.

Now that I think about it, it did look like one of those ads, Dorkafork.
