Koala Extinction Begins In 3, 2, 1

Oh, how sad. According to the Australian Koala Foundation's executive director Deborah Tabart, who employs a scorched-earth policy on similes, Australia's koalas will be extinct in ten years, maybe partly due to murderous black and white cats:

"The koala is like the canary in the cage," Tabart said.

Is the cage in a koal mine?

The government there continues to deny there is a cuddly marsupial shortage.

Meanwhile, extinction came even sooner for Aaron McGruder's "Boondocks" comic strip. Finding it too taxing to add a few comments to a four-panel cartoon drawn by an assistant, McGruder went off to recharge his batteries and now will not be returning.

Dang cats....barely evolved carnivores that kill just to kill, picking on poor helpless Koala's in mines.
I'd comment on Aaron, but I don't have anything complementary to say other than I'm glad to see him going.

I've never tasted koala. Guess I better hurry before they're gone.

I lost any respect I might have had for Aaron as a cartoonist when I read that he didn't even draw the stuff he signs his name to.

cats... I saw one so fat the other day, it laid on it's back just to get comfy. After I mumbled some remark concerning it's morbidly obese sacklike shape, the owner responded by telling her kids to get out of the fridge.

I wondered briefly if cat-kicking was a misdemeaner
or felony, but decided I was too far from the truck
to chance it.. (they had three bucks on the wall)

has Tabart checked with the chinese penis eaters
about this ??
