I believe that is the first time I have noticed a crucifix on Duane. I'll bet he had no idea that was a million dollar guitar he was playing. Thanks Donnah !

Duane was way too skinny here, but the pic shows off his chops, both guitar and mutton, nicely.

Of the now 3 Duane "Wednesday pics" I've see here, this is the best yet; it's how I always picture him when I listen to him play.

Me too, Paco. And that's a shirt I hadn't noticed before.

Thanks D

He had a little money in his pocket by then and was expanding his wardrobe. Had a haircut too.
That's a cross, Owen. A crucifix still has Jesus nailed up.

"A crucifix *still* has Jesus nailed up."

awright, from your response am I to assume that ALL
'crosses' are post-nailed ??? I never noticed any
bloodstains or nail holes... Good point, though..damn, when did my stuff get scanned so tight ?

I'm just glad Mama A, or somebody got to the old man...

Hi there,

I guess the crucifix diesn't necessarily say anything about Duane's religious beliefs. But it does hint at a spiritual inclanation. And I believe it's the spiritual quality of his music that still attracts so many after so any years. Also, watching the ABB Bacon Theatre DVD, it's like his spirit is hovering over the band. Awesome indeed.
Bedtime in Holland, greetings,
Peter
