Saturday Swords

There isn't enough of this sort of thing in modern film. I can't account for the oversight.

What movie is that from?

"The 13th Warrior." A guilty, guilty pleasure of mine.

Man, I haven't seen that one in a while. I don't know why it feels so wrong to enjoy that movie, but it really does.

That is a good movie. If you have Starz and Encore, you might want to keep a lookout for it. They play it sometimes.

The book was fantastic. They had a bit of trouble putting the movie together, but I've still watched it, uhm, several times.

Scot- No need, in my case. I somehow ended up with a copy...

"Oh boy! Sleep, that's where I'm a Viking."

Ralph Wiggum speaks for me. The 21st century may be the best of all possible times to be alive, but I'd trade a weekend in Cabo for an afternoon in Valhalla any old time.

That was the best film I saw that I could barely understand a word of. Then again, words weren't all that necessary.

No ma'am, they were not. Vikings! Real Scandinavians without a Tony Curtis ringer in the bunch.

Lo, There Do I See My Father
Lo, There Do I See My Mother
My Sisters And My Brothers
Lo, There Do I See My People
Back To The Beginning
Lo, There Do They Call To Me
And Beg Me To Take My Place
In The Halls Of Valhalla
Where The Brave May Live Forever
