On this holiest of days, I bring you the gift of dog: Shiloh and Lilly:

A beautiful poser, Shiloh is not the dog with a foot in her mouth.

Eight foot Christmas tree, three foot Christmas shepherd.
If there are any pics or video of the season you'd like to share, feel free to send them in. Will they be as simultaneously charming and amusing as reader Owen's contribution? Of course.
Merry Christmas to all of you.
UPDATE:
On the other hand, Gmac, a generous father if I ever saw one, gave his 9-year-old son Alex the gift of tired:
"Best exercise device ever invented for hyperactive kids. Time tested and proven. Moms love them, dads swear by it.
After demonstrating how to use it (and bust my ass) he was finally able to bounce 4 times consecutivly before it got away from him. After 20 minuites of playing with it he was down for the count.
Old school toys never go away, they just get redesigned with better safety features. No exposed spring, foam all over it and better foot grippers."

Merry Christmas and Happy HOWLidays! :)
Posted by: pam at December 25, 2006 04:01 PMI think my neighbor got a three laig dawg for Christmas... but I probably just missed the little jip before.
Pretty tree there, Cracker ! Merry Christmas to the
seven foot dog pack, too.
Are they allowed table scraps ?? My neighbor's boxer comes down and helps himself to ours everytime there's a turkey carcass in the trash.
Pardon my nosiness..but do those ladderbacks have rush seats ??
Posted by: csason at December 25, 2006 05:31 PM"do those ladderbacks have rush seats ??"
Yes, they do. They've been in Mr. Cracker's family for many generations.
The tree's kind of on its last leg here, but thanks.
To answer your other question, yes, we feed them people food. They had turkey for lunch and will be having it for dinner too in a few minutes.
I hope everybody had a wonderful Christmas.

Posted by: Norma at December 26, 2006 05:01 AMnot only do I love Dogs, I love BIG dogs, I had a Boxer Great Dane as a companion when I was a child, approximately the same age as your model.
Big dogs, if well trained, and raised with the children ALWAYS (unless you are a scumbag) treat the child as a young member of the pack, while a GOOD mommy and daddy (I have issues with my parents but they were a good mommy and daddy) are good alphas.
Those big dogs are absolutely BEAUTIFUL to me, they remind me of my bandit.
Oddly enough I (it was I who named the BOXER GREAT DANE MUTT) who named bandit, and I named hime (a BOXER GREAT DANE MUTT)after the johnny quest cartoon, who had a what? pugg?
Posted by: Wickedpinto at December 27, 2006 01:06 AMI think Bandit was a short haired version of those
dogs Donnah had on before the holiday break..
Coondogs...
Race Bannon, my hero. Haji..what a great cartoon.
