Via Ace, an update on Jimmy Carter's stink tank:
Fourteen members of an advisory board at the Carter Center resigned today, concluding they could "no longer in good conscience continue to serve" following publication of former President Jimmy Carter's controversial book, "Palestine Peace Not Apartheid.""It seems that you have turned to a world of advocacy, including even malicious advocacy," the board members wrote in a letter, a copy of which was reviewed by The Wall Street Journal. "We can no longer endorse your strident and uncompromising position."
The resignees all appear to be Jews whose powerful lobby was unsuccessful in stifling Carter's saucy and piquant views on Israel.

Posted by floridacracker at January 11, 2007 07:16 PMThose KIKES!!! Can't stop calling Carter an anti-semite!!! No matter his words of reconciliation, and accusation!!!
(I used the K word in a satirical way, I appologize to all jews)
Posted by: Wickedpinto at January 12, 2007 02:41 AMMaybe there is something to this whole Cabal thing. We conservatives have not been able to shut Jimmy up for 10 years. Now he upsets the New York Money and POW, he starts receiving his just rewards.
I can say this being a Kike and all. You WP, on the other hand, are a racist.
Posted by: Gordon at January 12, 2007 08:34 AMHe'd be the first to tell you he's enlightened. I'm all for anybody criticizing any country they feel like, but Carter took it to new levels. Like the saying goes, "You're entitled to your own opinion; you're not entitled to your own facts."
Posted by: Donnah at January 12, 2007 09:30 AMJimmy Carter was a horrible Governor, a terrible president (can we say oil embargo, gas lines, HOSTAGES), and a joke as an elder statesman. One of my biggest regrets in life is that I voted for him in my first presidential election! I, being a born & bred Georgian, thought he could put to rest the commonly held notions of southerners being ignorant, poor rednecks. Boy was I ever wrong! He has, over the years, reinforced every stereotype imaginable. Especially the ignorant one!
Posted by: cindy at January 12, 2007 12:49 PMLooks like the clue bat finally hit where it counted and even Jimmah's staunchest supporters on the liberal left are seeing what a fool he really is.
I'll simply enjoy the shadenfreude while it lasts, it's so satisfying whatching that miserable bastard twist in the wind, all the while refusing to debate his own written words.
When it comes to Jimmah, I'm embarassed to be from Georgia. I want to believe that he's just getting old.
Posted by: Carl in Atlanta at January 12, 2007 05:26 PMJimmy Carter .
makes Billy Carter sound more respectable every day that passes
Posted by: csason at January 13, 2007 10:28 AMYa know, Jimmy was the one running around campaigning and pushing segregation. Billy was the one that ran the peanut farm and thus funded the race baiting bigot from Plains. Billy a was a southern guy, but he wasn't the buffoon he's presented as. That would be Jimmy. His wife is a complete bitch also.
Posted by: donald at January 14, 2007 09:14 AMI applaud (very lightly) these Johnny-come-latelies to the "Carter is an Ass" party, for finally waking up and realizing what the rest of us have known since 1976.
