Enormously Huge Jungle Gym Shocks Child

On a $5 bet that he couldn't climb an enormously huge jungle gym that was by the side of the road, a 13-year-old Missouri boy received a shock that sent him tumbling 35 feet. Two years later, his mother is now suing the electric company for placing the enormously huge jungle gym in the path of her teenager without a sign warning that if he climbed high enough in the enormously huge jungle gym, way high near where it's festooned with silver streamers, it would first give him an owie then make him go boom.

I predict a stunning turn of events and a new Darwin Award nominee in the not to distant future...

I'd be shocked if it turned out otherwise.

The greed is re-volt-ing

So did "Sparky" win the $5 bet? The article doesn't say but then nobody has brought up the idea that the power company should bill the family for the wasted kilowatt hours. These lawsuits need good counter-suits.

tfhr, I read somewhere that he became a Krishna.

Now he just sits around chanting "Ohm.........."

He's single, as you would expect, given the damage to the family joules.

Posted by: Mr. Bingley at April 19, 2007 02:17 PM

That's true, Mr. Bingley. He's had to go AC/DC just to make sure he'll get some kind of love connection.

Posted by: Donnah at April 19, 2007 02:22 PM

Thanks for keeping us current on his status, though. Oh, was he ever charged with a crime?

Posted by: Mr. Bingley at April 19, 2007 02:46 PM

The cops went to pick him up but he'd bolted.

Posted by: Donnah at April 19, 2007 02:55 PM

Even after he'd been grounded?

Posted by: Mr. Bingley at April 19, 2007 03:06 PM

Yep, and even after his mama had taken a switch to him. The cops were determined to discharge their duty.
I guess the mom will hit the chat show circuit. Should be interesting - I've heard she's a real live wire.

You people need to turn down the amperage a little. Someone might blow a fuse.

Posted by: Chris at April 19, 2007 04:26 PM

Well, it's regenerating to see positive energy in these comments, Donnah...in light of other events around the country.

I don't want to sound negative, but I'm positive that even a high powered attorney couldn't persuade a jury to award damages to a dim wit that climbed power lines.

Posted by: nancy at April 19, 2007 06:57 PM

I've also heard he's up on battery charges with his former flame; seems he didn't like the ampere style she favored.

Yeah, he got sick of her static and struck her. That's bound to generate interest from the press, causing more frayed nerves in the family. I don't know how much more of a load they can carry.

He was hoping his criticism would transformer into a better dresser. I know he tried to resistor, but the attraction turned out to be too strong.

Posted by: Mr. Bingley at April 20, 2007 01:21 PM

Yes, it's been a stormy relationship. I'm just happy she's been galvanized into some sort of action. She'd long been dealing with his flashes of anger, and when he struck her it was as if a light went on. She wasn't going to wait for him to strike her twice. What's key here is that she finally told him to go fly a kite.

It's easy to determine the capacitance of this crowd..

I heard that mom has an issue with the surge of jokes transmitted ,and has insulated junior until the hearing is conducted.

Just came by to recharge my batteries and get out of the hot sun - too much yard work at once. I do have a question: Who pays the carbon credits for this kid?
