This was not here this morning... ;( I had to drive to work worrying that Donnah had finally reached the end of the pics... ;)
That curtain in the background lets me know this was one of those venues that had to be the coolio-est
of venues..
Thanks Donnah.
Just think..somewhere in the estate of Bill Graham is the footage of the best sets of Fillmore..the night Duane played that hot rendition of Statesboro Blues and Done Somebody Wrong
I hope I live long enough to see it.
Posted by: csason at May 2, 2007 12:45 PMBill Graham's archives would be a career, not an evening. I'd like to be on the team that edits the material for the 10 CD box set.
Posted by: Paco Malo at May 2, 2007 05:09 PMI dont want to wait for that film. I wanna see that sweet show! =P
Good pic, again, Donnah! =)

Posted by: Fearless Fred at May 2, 2007 11:00 PMNice footage, thanks Donnah.
But I wonder, are we hearing Duane here, or Dicky ? Those riffs sound a lot like what Dicky does in You don't love me on LAFE (and also other recordings of that song).
The really fast playing is Duane, Dickey couldnt shuffle that fast then (or even now I dont think)
Posted by: Ben at May 4, 2007 12:49 PMBen, you're wrong. Duane is my hero, but in fairness to Dicky: he's the one that did the fast playing in You don't love me.
