A sad little girl on her way back to the pokey.
Pure comedy gold from Paris Hilton today in an L.A. court:
Screaming and crying, Paris Hilton was escorted out of a courtroom and back to jail Friday after a judge ruled that she must serve out her entire 45-day sentence behind bars rather than in her Hollywood Hills home."It's not right!" shouted the weeping Hilton, who violated her parole in a reckless driving case. "Mom!" she called out to her mother in the audience.
Hilton, who was brought to court in handcuffs in a sheriff's car, came into the courtroom disheveled and weeping, hair askew, sans makeup, wearing a gray fuzzy sweatshirt over slacks.
She cried throughout the hearing, her body shook constantly and she dabbed at her eyes. Several times she turned to her parents, seated behind her in the courtroom, and mouthed, "I love you."
Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer was calm but apparently irked by the morning's developments. He said he had left the courthouse Thursday night having signed an order for Hilton to appear for the hearing.
When he got in his car early Friday, he said, he heard a radio report that he had approved Hilton's participation in the hearing by telephone, but he had not.
"I at no time condoned the actions of the sheriff and at no time told him I approved the actions," he said of the decision to release Hilton from jail after three days.
"At no time did I approve the defendant being released from custody to her home on Kings Road," Sauer said.
You have to wonder what the sheriff was thinking by letting her go after three days. He'd have to know there'd be the appearance of impropriety.
Posted by floridacracker at June 8, 2007 03:33 PMIf she would have bellered in the Polk County courthouse, she would have rec'd double sentence for each bellow...and that is a fact.
The judges around here have nicknames, like 'Bulldog' and 'Hang Em High'..
She got off easy, again.
If the judge was pickin' on her because she's rich and white..that's no good, but he's pickin on her because she's spoiled and a brat.

Great title for your post. It could be used "as is" by The Onion.
Posted by: bob at June 8, 2007 11:23 PMShe was juuust a little over-dramatic about the whole thing.
Posted by: Donnah at June 8, 2007 11:32 PMSheriff Baca said that USUALLY people are let go after serving TWO DAYS on a 45-day sentence. Thus, he released her combined with her exhibiting unsually degenerating mental state.
Long story, I don't think it's worthwhile to ridicule this suffering lady. I think she's mentally ill and is being used like silly putty by both the decrepit Los Angeles County need to harm people (the Supervisors, my estimation of them, that's what motivates them, combined with their sense of entitlement to do just that, but they inflict harm on everyone other than hardened criminals, just look at the crime statistics in L.A.).
I wrote a lot about it...in my own blog and I'm talked out. I feel sorry for her, she's obviously a person with mental problems.

Posted by: rg at June 9, 2007 03:36 AMoh, for crying out loud...
Posted by: nancy at June 9, 2007 09:04 AMI didn't know that being a spoiled brat qualified as a mental illness. Maybe we can have the Boomers committed. That would save on retirement costs.
People aren't usually let go two days into a 45-day sentence. If they are in LA, then that would certainly explain a lot.
Posted by: Chris at June 9, 2007 09:35 AMif people are USUALLY being let go after 2-3 days or even a week, for a 45 day sentence, then they are wasting time and money... a LOT of it. No wonder it's a madhouse out there.
I've known for years that California is 'ahead' of the rest of the country, and if this is where it's headed.. no thanks.
Paris is so out of touch.. I wonder if she'd be screamin' "It's not fair" if she had been facially disfigured by a drunk illegal in a car accident.
She brought this on herself. She will always be in the limelight, regardless if it's a camera trying to get a Brittney shot, or if she's on trial for DUI/VOP. If she wants to get special treatment, she should move to Montana and buy her own county.
Posted by: csason at June 9, 2007 01:42 PMI've talked to a few women the past couple of days and what is striking is how they see PH's antics for what they are and have little sympathy.
It reminds me of my daughters adolescent hissy fits when they were in the early teens. My gut impulse as a father has always been to protect and shelter, but I learned the hard way that the drama queen shtick is nothing but an exercise in self-pity and manipulation. Even pretty girls need to grow up.
I'm sincerely hoping that this will clear her head
and toughen her up to the realities of the world, and just maybe instill some humility. Something her parents have clearly failed to do.
Thoughts...
Paris is widely known for being a vociferous
drinker. Heck, she owns a chain of chic bars,
including one in my town,Jax. Alcohol withdrawal
on top of a narcissistic personality on top of the stress of going into "The Graybar Hilton"
could have brought on an anxiety attack.
Paris should move forward, get the help she needs
while in jail, and come out willing to help others see what can happen with excess alcohol,
a sense of "entitlement", and driving. Utmost,
She shows what she learned and how she has changed.
I did hear on the radio that once released and back at home, up pulls a party planner's van who told an enquiring reporter, "Dude, didn't you know? She's having a party tonight".
"I feel sorry for her, she's obviously a person with mental problems."
Nothing a few months of honest HARD work and laying off the club scene couldn't cure.
