As this pic shows, good looks are really an asset
Good thing that organ player wasn't in the way.
Wail on, Skydog!
Donnah! Get your mind out of the gutter!

nice pic.. Thanks Donnah
Posted by: csason at July 25, 2007 08:12 AMI love the beer and the whiskey bottle on top of the other keyboard.
Posted by: Mr. Bingley at July 25, 2007 01:22 PMMr. Bingley, I'm with you.
The decision to buy cases of Beechwood Aged Brew is clear. But what's in the whiskey bottle? I'm certain someone here knows.
Also, what gauge strings did Duane use when this picture was taken?
Mille Grazie, Donnah!
HAHA Carl I was gonna say that! =P
Mmmhmmm, aviators, long hair, and is that Greggs leather jacket on top of the sweeeeeet leslie? He was a little better with looks and garb, wasnt he? But Duane could wail so hard that you never even think about that, do ya?
(well Duanes got somethin... heck, Donnah seems to have a little fettish for his butt hah!)
Looks like Duanes wearing his aviators, too. Sunny day. Just right for a groovy outdoor concert like this one.
Thanks Donnah!
(Oh and Im going to be getting the Fillmore Set pickups soon, Sheila. Gonna sound like Hot 'Lanta very soon! Prob try to make recordings of it, any ideas on how/where to upload it? anyone???)
Posted by: Ben at July 25, 2007 08:35 PMOh and isnt that the cool electric piano Gregg would play on Done Somebody Wrong??? The Hammond is under the alcohol over there... What kinda keyboard was that? Sounded kinda like a Wurlitzer.

Posted by: csason at July 26, 2007 06:55 AMThanks Mr. C Sason.
I had heard that Dicky "trailed off" certain notes in "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" with his pinky on the volume control. Now I've seen it. Sweet!

Posted by: Paco Malo at July 26, 2007 10:26 AMHey yea, one of my favorite pass-times on the internet... watching Allman Brothers on youtube hah!
Yea I love the 1970 Fillmore Concert... best video/audio quality and its full length uncut when you can find it! I have it on my old computer, and also on a dvd I got.
I do like his solo on Liz Reed there, but my favorite is Dreams from that concert. The video taught me how to play it all. And Dreams is one of my all-time favorite songs. LOVE the sound of Duanes plaintop at the beginning of the lead. It's my favorite guitar tone/sound, and of course, the end with the vibrato-action slide chord. Just awesome.
