Dogfight

Someone was kind enough to upload one of my favorite movies. With unusual depth of character and great acting, Dogfight is a tiny, almost perfect film framed around a girl's realization that the party a handsome young marine has invited her to is an ugly date contest. Full of memorable scenes, the ending one and its dialog might surprise you.

Part One, Part Two, Part Three, Part Four, Part Five,
Part Six, Part Seven, Part Eight, Part Nine, Part Ten.

Considering nobody but us saw it, that's a heckuva good little movie.
Damn shame that River didn't work a little harder at trying to stay alive. Remember, kids...you can always drink yourself to death when you're retired. Stick around, live a little.

Geez, that movie had some meat to it. Characters having depth and developing, actors doing more than having pretty faces. I think it's the most romantic movie I've ever seen and there wasn't a Julia Roberts or Meg Ryan in sight. I thought Lily Taylor was so fabulous. I can't even pick a favorite scene with her, she was so real in all of them.
Also, no blah blah Hollywood dialog. The ending was killer.
