Oh and speaking of smoking guitars..
Got my WCR Fillmore Set pickups and had my uncle put em in the Epi for me.. MAN OH MAN!!! The sound clips dont lie, it sounds exactly like that, even through my chinsy Marshall M100HDFX, though I am going to find an all tube Marshall soon... will just make it all the better.
I mean, I even play it through my Yamaha G100-II 115 and you can still hear that signature sound, but you need some drive to really bring it out. That Yamaha is 165 watts of super-clean LOUD decibels. Gain is only a little chunky growl...
But if you are looking for that Duane sound but cant spend thousands, do check them out crcoils.com

As great as they sounded, can't help but imagine the show with Duane still playin slide. Duane 35 + years older and wiser? How good would that have been?
