Devlin Gives Up

Hallelujah. It's just been announced that next week Michael Devlin will plead guilty to all 86 charges in all four jurisdictions relating to his crimes in the kidnappings of Shawn Hornbeck and Ben Ownby. He's been sweating those kids and their families out since January saying his wanted to tell "his side of the story."
Tomorrow will be the fifth anniversary of Shawn's abduction. Kidnapped when he was 11, he was missing for over four years. 13-year-old Ben Ownby's kidnapping lasted four days.

I was going to send a note when I saw it this afternoon, but figured you'd see it. I'm glad the kids -- and us locals, to be selfish -- are spared the trial.

Yeah, I saw it when the only link was the e-Missourian. Little son of a guns broke the story.
I'm so happy those boys won't have to go through trials. It would have been two for Ben and FOUR of them for poor Shawn.
They'll still be able to make victim impact statements if they want. Shawn parents will be attending the court proceedings in his home county and the one in St. Louis county. I'd be very surprised if Shawn's folks pass up the opportunity to tell him how what he did affected their family, even if Shawn declines to do so.

I'd be censored if I started talking too much about Devlin..
honestly, I'd rather he just get a five year sentence in the open population. He will no doubt get a special cell, and although he probably will get assaulted, it just won't be with enough frequency and vim and vigor for me.. I'd like to see him wearing a tatoo on his forehead for at least
five..or until he dies of repeated gang rapings..which ever comes first.

I sent you a different slant on pedophilia Donnah.. hope you like it.
