Wednesday's Duane Allman Pic

duanedPiedmont Park1970stp3.jpg
Another snap from what I call the 1970 Piedmont Park Motor Oil concert.
STP was good for freebies back then; I know we had a sticker.
Wail on, Skydog!

UPDATE:
A terrific link from YO. Click the video when you get there.

One of my faves, Donnah. Speaking of Duane photos, I found this flash video clip of Jim Marshall, arguably the greatest rock photographer ever, comenting on some of his "greatest hits" and the impressive musicians he's worked with. At around 1:18 he talks about Duane. It's pretty astounding to see how, so many years after the fact, he's still shaken up by Duane's passing. Towards the end he also comments the Fillmore album cover. Definitely worth checking out.

hi Yo, Awesome, and very touching, thanks Bro for the heads up on the jim Marshall clip...very, very touching. When you see something like that a man that still breaks up when he remembers Duane, well then you know Duane was a very special man indeed! Course all us Duaneheads know that, but its great to see the acknowledgment of someone who actually know him personally and still cares very much and misses him greatly still, like we all do!

"Rock on Skydog and have you a good time."

Great photo Donnah. His hair blinding him as his playing opens our minds.

"Save the Pickers..Save the Pickers.." the crowd
screamed.. not really.

Thanks Donnah.. I had one of those shirts. If I would have known how valuable it was going to be, I would have hid it from my pyromaniac ex-wife #1.

His hair opened our minds, (one of the first long haired gents of his generation)
and his playing blinded us. (with his billiant solos)

(play on words like Duane play on notes)
joke lol (hope you dont mind Paco) just....couldnt resist.

Owen, I may get in trouble for leaking this but here's some inside info: when a woman sets fire to your clothes she's sending you a message.

I apologize, but I'm laughing so hard I'm crying regarding "... when a woman sets fire to your clothes she's sending you a message."

Donnah, you're better than "Cosmo...".

Well Paco, what can I say, this site (Donnah's)brings out everyone's best chops; just like Duane's presence bought the best out of the guys in The Allman Brothers Band.

Everyone here is terrific and it is a honor to visit here every Wed. to get the latest Duane pic fix.

So here is to Donnah for providing a forum to comment, chat and remember the "Great Duane Allman!" Hip hip hooray, hip hip horray, hip hip hooray! :>

If she burns your clothes while you're in them, the message has exclamation points!!!!!!!

Wail on, Duane, Wail on.

I got a little tidbit for all you shirt coveters
out there.. don't be surprised when you come home a week late from a three day hunting trip if you have a new bonfire waiting in the front yard.

She KNEW where the goods were..a whole box of t-shirts and ticket stubs.
