The photographer here absolutely captured Duane and his ax at work. Great art within great art.

long spidery fingers, years of working his ass off to get good, a bull headed attitude toward quality being supreme, and an innate love for b.b.king.....all coming together in our beloved howard duane's zeitgist, baby.

Wail on, indeed.

ty, donnah. a super superfan, you are.

Man..the B&W ones are better than the color..who needs Kodak when you can have Skydog like this..

Thanks Donnah..

Can't think of a name for this 'period' Maybe the

OOOOO nice shot. LOVE the tiger-flame in a full-shot. Dont see that too often, mostly just tight shots on the guitar or somethin.

And yea, B&W is classy, and Duane is a classic. B&W is so dramatic, too. Its straight-forward, like his playing; to the point: Wail on, 'rock on and have you a good time!'

Thanks for another great pic, Donnah!

Am I seeing things, or is that a lil' Duane in the lower right hand corner. I've got to cut down on the medication. I could swear there is a tiny guitarist profile on whatever that equipment is. Time to go to the eye doctor.

I sat about four feet from Warren Haynes while he played for an hour last night. He's about as good as the living get.......

Any guesses on what ole Duane is Wailing to? I say Liz Reed, but its anyones guess. (I just think cuz hes at the 12th fret, Liz Reed in Em...)

And yes theres a guitarist silhouette on that W.. some other picture, they pasted over.

And yea, Warrens great, but I think Derek is better, as well as a few guitarists here and there, but Warren def earned his seat on Rolling Stones List @ 23.
(the list was in 2003 where Derek was still finding his feet with all the new ABB material. Hes gotten fantastically better since, and continues to improve with every day)

Willard, that looks like a 'W' (some sort of logo)
with a picker super-imposed over it..

Ben, I'd venture a guess at Whipping Post.

I'm not EVEN gonna get on the Derek boat..he's too noisy, and hyped..oh sure they (Warren and Derek) can both certainly play a good fiddle, but I have heard much better..excuse me for this but Sarasota Slim can bat down some pretty damn hot licks..

It's all in who you can get to sign you..Dang, I don't even understand..Duane himself said all this.

You wanna here probably one of the best sliders I have ever heard ?? Check out Kirk LoRange on youtube.. his handle is planetalk.
