It's a shame Dickey has been so sidelined as a slide player, even though he spent more time with the master than anyone else..except maybe Gregg. Right behind Statesboro Blues and Done Somebody Wrong on my mix cds, I have Ain't Wastin Time No More.
I 'had' a Dickey blessed slide..as I've mentioned before, and a Dickey blessed 'flask' too..lol, but
the last I heard, the brother of the ex-husband (deceased) of the girl I gave it to..was claiming HE had the encounter.
You know..the sunshine does look like rain in this pic, and those look like grovers in Dickey's guitar. It's funny of the several times I saw the ABB without Duane, I never heard them play S.B. or Done Somebody Wrong. I was never disappointed though.
