Mutt Lange Suspends Campaign

But never fear -- he'll run for president a million times if that's what it takes to get that groove just right:

Mitt Romney suspended his faltering presidential campaign on Thursday, effectively sealing the Republican presidential nomination for John McCain. "I must now stand aside, for our party and our country," Romney told conservatives.

"If I fight on in my campaign, all the way to the convention, I would forestall the launch of a national campaign and make it more likely that Senator Clinton or Obama would win. And in this time of war, I simply cannot let my campaign, be a part of aiding a surrender to terror," Romney told the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington.

Interesting that he's holding onto his delegates. What did they cost him out of his own pocket, about a million per?

He damn sure spent a lot of money to lose..but I differ with you on one thing, Donnah.. I think he is through with politics. He said it himself, that he hates to lose. That is the most genuine statement I have heard from Mitt.

Maybe his brother..or perhaps a son, but I think this was more than he could allow into his world of being Supermormon.

If McCain gets spanked in November it might set up Romney as the heir apparent for 2012 a la Reagan in 1976. I thought his speech was good yesterday. Had he been talking like that the whole campaign instead of the bickering with McCain things might look quite a bit different now.

But what about McCain's mother?? Don't care much for the son but that is one feisty old lady! Reminds me of my grandmother.

Hamous, I think everyone thought the same thing about his speech yesterday..that 'genuine' speak
goes a long way..
His Mother..Yes, she is something. I really liked reading about his Dad in his book. He took the wire
out of his service cap, like McHale did in McHale's
navy. Quite a sport..from what I understand they were married in Tijuana.

csason, I haven't read McCain's book. I guess I need to since it looks like he'll be the candidate. I'm having a hard time forgetting a couple of things with his name attached to them: McCain/Feingold & McCain/Kennedy Immigration Bill.

He can re-read that "I quit" speech if he wants to know why he uninspired so many. It was as if someone distilled every cliche into a fine liqueur. I love America too, but somehow America will manage without me. And you too, d00d.

Now you can go back and make sure they blue chisel-tip Sharpies that I like are in stock, because they're gone every time I want one.

I was doing a google search for my sister Kelsey Smith and your site came up. She was the girl that was murdered on June 2, 2007. I am so appreciative that everyone cared about her and the outcome of this case. However you do have a very major point wrong. Kelsey was NOT discovered by Tim and EquaSearch. In fact they are the ones that let reporters into the crime scene when it was expressly forbidden. A group of FBI agents and police officers found her, and EquaSearch should not be given any credit at all. They came in on the 6th (after others had been searching for days) and then once her body was found later that day, took all the credit for the find. I am sure that this group has done some good in the past, but in Kelsey's case they really didn't do much. Sorry I just wanted to clear that up.
